The Film

Bless the Mic is a documentary film that follows secular-turned-Christian rapper Flash as he sets out to leave his wild past behind, “live for God”, and make it as a gospel rapper. But when he discovers that he and his girlfriend, Nadia, are expecting a baby, being an independent artist and man of faith becomes even more complicated.

Set in the emerging world of Christian Hip-Hop, the film explores fame, forgiveness, religious tradition, and what it really means to “come as you are”. Heart-breaking, hilarious, thought-provoking and inspirational—Bless the Mic is a gritty look at faith from a young, urban perspective.
